I heard there are good software, HTML knowledge that it takes, but they are expensive. I want a relatively cheap start. But I want to be able to be beautiful and original site, not cookie-cutterish.

Manage Your Own Website 1.15 is a good one for learning, go to download.com and type in website design in the search bar and try one out before you buy it to see if you like it, they usually have a 10 to 30 day trial versions on all of the programs on download.com, i hope this helps any..

The cheapest way, is to do it yourself. All you need is a text editor like notepad. Its not too difficult to learn.
